Our Big Fat Greek/Los Angelos 2 and 1/2 week Vacation!

Hello Every Body...my friends, my dearly missed friends!!! Ari and I just got back from two and a half weeks in L.A. and then four days off at home to rest and recoup before Ari started back to work tonight. We had a major blast! We got a five day park-hopper ticket for Disney and CA Adventure. We went one day with Ari's Mom, Alice and then we got to go with Ari's Brother Amar, his girlfriend Grecia, Ari's Sister Michlien and her boyfriend Omar and we had so much fun being all together in the "Happiest Place on Earth!" : )

Once again, I apologize for the length of time spanning from my last post to this one...it's been and extremely busy last month and a half to two mos. Ari had to work a TON of overtime covering shifts for other's, blah-blah-blah...Lou Lou our Guinea Pig had to have a surgery to remove a cyst and lots of other stuff that I can't recall at the moment! All that being said, I am sorry for taking ever so long to post something, AND, we REALLY needed this vacation!

Ari and I were able to stay with his Mom in Redondo Beach, so we got to visit the ocean several times. We even had one day of 93 degree weather, and it was snowing back at home! Yes, we still have several feet of snow on the ground, but it is beginning to recede, thank God!!! We have had the world's longest winter, no joke! I know that we have had over 30 feet of snowfall this year, and it feels like it! : )

Anyhoo
, Ari's Mom lives next door to her brother, (Ari's Uncle and his five boys, as well as Ari's Yaya, a.k.a. Grandmother,) and Michlien, (Ari's Sister) lives in the house in front, so we pretty much got to see everybody as much as we wanted, and then some! : ) Also, we went to Medieval Times and took our Nephew Andrew, and Ari's cousins, Lefteries and Christos, with the help of Amar and his girlfriend Grecia. I had never been to Medieval Times before, and the last time Ari went, he had the paramedics called in to administer the Heimlich maneuver to him as he was choking on a chicken bone!!! He kinda missed the majority of the show after that! : ) We had a ton of fun and I lost my voice cheering for "our knight," who almost won the whole tournament, but yielded to the reigning prince at the very last second. (Oh the drama of it all!!!) : )

Adding to the Medieval fun, we went to Disneyland for four days strait. After that, my voice was barely squeaking at all! By the fifth day of the "Disney-mania," my back was completely shot, I had no voice, Ari was feeling dizzy simply sitting on the couch and I had to literally crawl up the stairs that morning...Ari made the tough but wise decision to stay home, rest up and give the remaining days at Disneyland to his Nephew. I was very sad, but my back really needed a break!

So, we're home now and looking toward a busy summer season of all the stupid Telluride festivals. The festivals begin in May and go through the end of September, and during that time no one is allowed any time off because it's just that busy around here for the po-po.

Lots of love to you all. I trust that you are doing well and I want you to know that I think of you quite often, I promise.
